The April General Membership Meeting will be
Thursday, April 17th at Jock's & Jill’s in Norcross.
This month's
speaker will be Dan Hurst, RN. Dan has 10 years of hospital experience and
the past five have been as the charge nurse in the emergency room of
Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Dan also lives on Lake
Lanier and enjoys his pontoon boat and fishing during his free time. Dan
will be speaking on boating/lake related injuries, etc. and what to do for
treating emergencies on the water. These emergencies could include
hypothermia, heat stroke, carbon monoxide poisoning, sea sickness,
lacerations, burns, broken bones, head injuries from falling, drowning,
heart attacks, stroke, severe sun burn and any other types of situation
nurses see and treat in the emergency room. He will also talk about what
not to do in the initial treatment of an injury or illness.
Social hour and
dinner begins at 6:00pm with the meeting beginning about 7:15pm.
Please remember that one of our membership initiatives this year is
the "Power of One." You are encouraged to bring guests to any and all Squadron
events. Also, please be sure to wear your name badge!
